Sunday Joy

Well, how do bulbs popping up in February grab you? They sure bring JOY to me. So does a 30 minute jog to the forest preserve. And receiving Kai's comments right on my brand new and first-for-me blog brought a big smile.
A few more...

  • Kasey's excitement about earning some $
  • Molly's soccer game (wow)
  • and then there was Callie, gorgeous and beaming in a golden, long dress for the Turnabout Dance with Terry
  • Sunday morning
  • listening to good music
  • being excited about life in general

As Pam K. would say... "it's all good"!

JOY from odd circumstances...

Odd that having an ill child would bring JOY.

For my youngest, her only 'down time' is when she is sick. It brings out her need to cuddle - something rarely taken time for from this delightful, high energy child. This week, she was down with a mixture of crud. For the first time in a longggggg time, I sang to her. Each child has a song, specially made up for them to suit their marvelous personalities. As infants, I often sang or hummed to them this special song. As they get older the circumstances to sing to are fewer and farther between...

So, this week, selfishly, I found myself JOYOUS just to sing to her this special song while we snuggled and cuddled on the couch.
